Chimps Inc. offers an innovative outreach program to educate both children and adults in the community. We have traveled as far as Portland, Oregon to extend our outreach program and mission of education. Our outreach program has a focus on improving public education and awareness about the plight of captive chimpanzees, our closest living relative, as well as the exploitation of exotic animals in the United States. Despite the fact that chimpanzees are seen in entertainment and advertising on a daily basis the media rarely offers information about the conservation of these animals. Unfortunately, the appearance of chimpanzees in movies, television and commercials has led too many people to believe that the chimpanzee is not an endangered species. Let us introduce you to the world of chimpanzees.

One component of our education and awareness program is a dynamic video giving you an inside look at the chimpanzees living at the sanctuary. We serve any organized group including k-12 schools, Universities, youth groups and senior groups. Presentations are typically 35-45 minutes long but can be tailored to address any specific content needs or time frame of the requesting group. After the presentation, the group will be offered the opportunity to get more involved with the conservation efforts of Chimps Inc. by creating stimulating enrichment for the animals, starting a fundraiser, or becoming a leading group in the Jane Goodall Initiative Roots and Shoots program. This is a great way to get involved and make a difference in another's life. The program is currently offered at no cost to the group but continues to be supported through public donations.
