Alfonz enjoyed some exciting enrichment today. A large plush toy duck had its head anointed with oregano essential oil, and its back with lavender oil. Alfonz's reaction to the scented duck was similar to that of a domestic cat snuffling in catnip. He clapped his front paws around the plush ducks neck, sniffed curiously, and nuzzled it with his handsome face. He then felt a good back roll on the duck was in order and did so with a playful glint in his eyes. Before we left, he was giving the ducks head a good gnaw. He really had a good time with the plush duck, which means the enrichment was a success!
